From 07.30 - 09.00 there was a movement SW of 408 Woodpigeons, 120 Jackdaws, 70 Carrion Crows, 121 Chaffinches and 12 Siskins whilst in the area were 6 White Wagtails, 3 Chiffchaffs and 15 Coal Tits.

24th

Not many birds around the area apart from 1 Wheatear, 1 Chiffchaff and 3 Firecrests but between 10.30 and 11.15, whilst seawatching, we had 4 Marsh Harriers come in from the East.

23rd

Before the snow set in, at about 10.30, we had 1 Wheatear, 1 Stonechat, 1 White Wagtail, 1 Chiffchaff and 2 Firecrests. Out at sea a Marsh Harrier flew slowly north.

21st

In a strong NW wind a Short-eared Owl, a Grey Wagtail, 380 Chaffinches and a Reed Bunting flew north whilst a Northern Wheatear came in off the sea.

A late report of a Wheatear and 3 Firecrests on 15th

16th

The change in the weather has stopped any migration and the only birds of note were 1 Black Redstart, 2 Chiffchaffs and a Brambling.

15th

Migration appears to have started at Bockhill with 7 Stonechats, 1 Grey Wagtail, 5 Chiffchaffs, 1 Hawfinch and 3 Brambling on the cliff-top.

The light southerly breeze also brought in several Brimstone and Comma Butterflies.

Porpoise still in the Bay.

14th

First day that Chiffchaffs were noted with 4 around St Margaret's village, 1 at Bockhill and 2 through the garden at Deal.

8th

Very few birds of note except 7 Little Egrets on the rocks in the bay.
