In the stubble field were 500 Skylarks,150 Linnets and 2 Reed Buntings whilst 20 Yellowhammers fed around the manure pile.Two Ravens were feeding in the horse fields near the stables. JRC

21st

Two Bean Geese, first for the year, flew north at Bockhill and 45 Yellowhammers fed around the horse manure pile north of the Farm. PJC

20th

In the stubble field today there were c.600 Skylarks, c.600 Linnets, 2 Reed Buntings and a Lapland Bunting.PJC

15th

Phil had eleven Waxwings in the village today. JRC

10th-11th

Seven Waxwings flew over St M's on the 10th and presumably the same seven were in Kingsdown on the 11th...........pity everywhere else is getting much bigger flocks. JRC

5th

On our arrival at the Monument this morning, Phil and I had 7 Bewick Swans fly north but very little else.


       

In the stubble field were 50+ Skylarks and a flock of 70 Linnets. Later Gerald joined me and we had a half hour seawatch which produced 14 Red-throated and 3 Black-throated Divers, 7 Teal, 5 Shelduck and a few Auks. JRC
