Total number of species for the year 192

                                             New Record

23rd

On a very still day we had quite a good number of birds. In the big field were up to

100 Skylarks and from the cliff-top we had 30+ Fulmars, singles of Bonxie, Shag,

Black-throated Diver and 175 Herring Gulls. However our star birds were 2 Ravens

going north at 12.00 and returning south at 12.45. It would be nice to think that they were looking for somewhere to breed along the cliffs.

14th

Very few birds about the area apart from good numbers of Skylarks and Meadow Pipits plus 5 Rock Pipits in the Big Field.

Heather has just called telling of a new bird for the year, a Ring-necked Parakeet over Kingsdown.
