With the conclusion of the BTO Atlas work this year, but with further field work anticipated for the Kent Atlas; additional dates may be inserted into the programme at a later stage dependant upon a meaningful contribution being able to be made to remaining under-recorded tetrads.

Sun Jul 3rd Venue TBC - Atlas work Sunday September 25th 2011 Castle Coote saltmarsh. KOS members are invited to join Whitstable NHS and Shoresearch, with a view to understanding more of the ecology of this important Kent Wildlife site. Meet 1400 hrs Sportsman PH, Seasalter. Leader: Ian Tittley Marine biologist and Kent Field Club member. Sunday October 23rd 2011 Reculver. A 2-3 hrs circular walk of this notable area; plus prospect of a sea-watch if the weather is favourable. Meet 0900 hrs at Reculver car-park (meter charge) Leader : Chris Hindle Saturday November 5th 2011 Dungeness.`Gulls` Part 2; Plus `Specialities of the Day`. Meet 0900hrs at layby/car-park opposite the fishing boats. Leader: Andy Lawson Saturday January 7th 2012 RSPB Rainham Marshes Essex A combined walk and digiscoping workshop; an introduction to `what lies opposite!` Leader: Andy Lawson Sunday March 18th 2012 Stodmarsh. A circular walk to culminate with a mirror image of last year`s Bittern flypast at dusk. Well, that`s the optimistic prospect! Meet 1400 hrs Stodmarsh car-park. Leader: John Cantelo Saturday April 21st 2012 Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory A self-guided tour of the Reserve with familiarisation of the SBBO facilities, and to meet Observatory staff on the day. A great time for migrants. Meet 0900hrs SBBO car-park.
