The Kent List, Rarity Dates and Photo Archive The systematic sequence of this list follows that recommended by the BOU (Oct. 2002). The familiar start of the British List, with Divers, Grebes, etc., has been changed so that Anseriformes (Swans, Geese and Ducks) and Galliformes (Grouse and Pheasants) begin the List. This list contains the accepted species of birds published by the BBRC and KOSRP in Kent. News from the BBRC is that the Desert Finch, Rhodospiza obsoleta, at Dungeness on 1st October 2001, has now been accepted, and is with the BOURC for catagorizing. The current Kent List now stands at 417 species. Records of rare and scarce species which have been accepted by the KOSRP and BBRC are highlighted, with a link provided to view those records. Records from Kent Bird Report 2007 are incorporated. Records from E&RC Meeting, 5th June 2010 are incorporated. Records from BBRC WIP, 10th June 2010 are incorporated. Keith Privett, August 2010.
