The Kent List, Rarity Dates and Photo Archive The systematic sequence of this list follows that recommended by the BOU (Oct. 2002). The familiar start of the British List, with Divers, Grebes, etc., has been changed so that Anseriformes (Swans, Geese and Ducks) and Galliformes (Grouse and Pheasants) begin the List. This list contains all accepted species of birds published by the BBRC and KOSRP in Kent up to 16th September 2008, with the current Kent List standing at 411 species. One potential new species for Kent, Short-toed Eagle, Circaetus gallicus, May 2000, currently remains in circulation with the BBRC. The Booted Eagle, Hieraaetus pennatus, reported at Grove Ferry in September 2007, has been rejected as not proven. For details of species with fewer than 75 accepted KOSRP and BBRC records click on one of the highlighted links provided. Keith Privett, Sept 2008.
