Description Species

All records of rare and scarce species submitted to the Society are considered by the KOS Rarity Panel before being accepted for publication in the Kent Bird Report. All national rarities will be forwarded to the British Birds Rarity Panel to await their decision.

All British Birds rarities and the following Kent rarities require description. The completed description form should be sent to the relevant county Area Recorder for submission to the KOS Rarity Panel. Please download a rarity description form by clicking here.
