Weds 6th Aug: Cliffe Pools safari fun day - 11am-4pm
Fun activities by the Thames, including minibeast hunts, arts & crafts, table-top pond dip & meet the Cliffe Pools jellyfish. Refreshments available. The entrance will be sign-posted off the B2000 on the day. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free event
Sun 24th Aug: Moth morning - 10am
The ultraviolet and mercury vapour traps will have been running all night. Join us to discover these fascinating insects up close. Meet in the main RSPB car park at Bromhey Farm.
Sun 31st Aug: Wildlife & Country Fair - 12noon-5pm
One of the most popular events in the Medway calendar, featuring farm animals, guided walks, ditch dipping, insect sweeping, children's activities, arts & crafts, music, refreshments & much more. Free event.
Sun 7th Sept: Bird quest @ Cliffe Pools - 2-4pm
Improve your bird identification skills with these monthly walks. Suitable for beginners as well as the more experienced, and children over 12 years. Meet at St. Helen's church, Cliffe.
Sat 20th Sept: Work party - 9am-12 noon
Fancy doing something practical for wildlife? Need some exercise and fresh air? Join our work parties - you can work at your own pace and no previous experience is needed. Tools and instruction provided, but please bring your own elevensys.
Event is run in conjunction with Bexley RSPB local group. Contact Carol Donaldson on 01634 222480 for more details and the meeting place.

Mon 20th Oct: Great balls of fire! - 9-11pm
Join the RSPB to watch the Orionid meteor shower and marvel at the the winter night sky. Look at the great Orion nebula, birthplace of millions of stars; and see Jupiter with it's numerous moons.
Jacket potatoes and telescopes will be provided, but bring binoculars if you have them. Meet at the Bromhey Farm car park for a short walk to the viewpoint. This event is weather dependent, so please telephone 07867 537419 or 07813 561513 on the night to check.

Sat 1st-Sun 2nd Nov: Whirlwind of waders (Riverside Country Park, Gillingham) - 10am-4pm
They're back! Thousands of dunlin, grey plover, redshank and black-tailed godwit return to this internationally important site to feed and roost. With help from RSPB staff and local group members, watch the birds wheel and turn across this amazing estuary. Run in partnership with Medway Council, this event is part of Kent Coastal Week.

Be amazed at the sight of up to 4000 rooks and jackdaws coming off the marshes to roost in the wood. Meet at the main RSPB car park at Bromhey Farm.
