1 Long-tailed Skua (Juv (intermediate) flew steadily towards us, up over our heads and flew inland across the cauliflower field giving excellent views.)
Oare Marshes (07:00 to 10:30) Mostly cloudy with showery, sometimes heavy, rain and a moderate SE-S breeze. Temp. 3-13C. HT circa 08:45. With RM and RR. [Murray Wright] Map
3 White-fronted Goose (flew S over Swale and reserve with a single Greylag in tow circa 08:35), 6 Bar-tailed Godwit (on mud W of slipway), 1 Green Sandpiper (on EF), 7 Sandwich Tern (on slipway posts and fishing along Swale/FC), 4 Spoonbill (roosting on HS), 1 Cattle Egret (with EF cattle), 1 Little Owl (in 'usual' Elder S of EH - an OMYT for all three of us!), 1 Grey Wagtail (flew S towards cottages just as I was about to leave), 2 Rock Pipit (on rocks near SWH), 1 Water Pipit (on EF), 1 Brambling (flew SE - heard only)
